Dual Plate Check Valves
Dual Plate Check Valves
Kent Dual Plate Check Valve is retainerless design with intrinsically fire safe by design. Dual plate design minimize valve cracking pressure and reduces valve pressure drop. Spring loaded plates assist valve closing to ensure a tight seal and minimise slamming. These valves are unidirectional and restrict flow in the opposite direction. These valves are best suited for moderate velocity conditions. These are typically designed for horizontal flow conditions, but they can also be installed in vertical pipelines; however, in vertical pipelines, the flow must be upward and under the disc.

- Dual plate Check Valve design complies to API 594, API-6D.
- Retainerless valve body; meaning, no penetration through the body wall.
- Two independent seats – Consistent sealing even in uneven flow.
- Raised profile of the soft seat enhances sealing.
- Integrally moulded liner.
- Stopper pin prevents the discs from coming into contact with each other and thus prevents disc damage. The stopper pin also prevents spring failure by ensuring that the discs don’t travel beyond the full-open position.
- Stellite hard face on the disc sealing face can be provided upon request.
- Fire safe design.
- Self-seating design that reduces dragging along the seat surfaces.
- Lapped seating surfaces that exceed API 598 seat leakage requirements for metal-seated valves.
- An uninterrupted gasket surface.
- Shock bumpers minimize shock-force on internal components.
- Immediately responsive spring design to changes in flow characteristics.
- Drain connections provided on demand.
- For sizes 6” and above, lifting eyebolt option is provided.
- Wafer Type, Lug Type, Flanged ends.
